GRAND OPENING: HOME TECHNOLOGY SHOWROOM| | MINNEAPOLIS,
MN, Oct. 29, 2007 — Sensory Environment Design (SED), a Minneapolis
based company specializing in residential and commercial audio-video
technology has opened a 2,100-square-foot penthouse showroom in
Bloomington, Minn.
The space, a 17th floor penthouse suite on
the south east corner of the Reflections Condominium towers near the
Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, is valued at over $1.2
million. High-end home theater technology is complemented by
18-foot-high wrap-around windows overlooking the pristine Minnesota
River Valley.
The suite's audio-video technology is valued at
over $130 per square foot, with the key feature being the one of the
best dedicated home theaters in the Midwest.
The residential
suite now doubles as the company's primary showroom, allowing SED
customers to experience firsthand the aesthetic and technological
benefits of a well-designed home environment.
"This is a
one-of-a-kind space that has been three years in the making," said Paul
Krumrich, CEO of Sensory Environment Design. "No other residence in the
Midwest can rival the SED Penthouse's state-of-the-art home audio and
visual technology."
The suite's modern yet warm aesthetic is
complimented by the amazing views, as well as flat-screen displays,
hand made Danish loudspeakers, a 90” HD TV (largest in the Midwest),
and a control system to operate all technology via portable touch
panels and wall mounted key pads.
Custom touches include hand
made spiraling fiberglass light fixtures; custom cabinets to
accommodate A/V equipment, AV furniture designed to wrap around
concrete structural columns; and a classic turntable. A wall of glass
panels in the bedroom transform from clear to white-opaque to offer
privacy via an electronic current at the flick of a switch.
