Tattoos you won't regret| | Technology Tattoo
MINNEAPOLIS, MN, March 5th, 2007—Sensory Environment Design (SED), a
Minneapolis based home and commercial technology firm, has added a new
feather in their technology cap. As of March 1st, SED offers laser
etching services under the brand name of “Technology Tattoo.”
Customization of technology is a growing trend as consumers look for
different ways to personalize their accessories. Technology Tattoo will
focus on two major market segments: Corporate branding and security, as
well as personal tattoos.
Corporate branding/security: Companies are always looking for ways to
better secure their equipment and to promote their brand. “I see this
as an easy decision for most corporations” said Shane Seira, Vice
President of SED, “there is a lower likelihood of your expensive assets
(laptops, projectors, etc.) walking away if your logo (or security
barcode) is tattooed on the cover, and having your logo travel along
with your employees is always a good thing.” As an authorized apple
dealer, SED is now able to offer their clients new equipment with their
graphics already etched onto the equipment when it arrives.
Personal Expression: In today’s world, technology is as much a fashion
statement as it is a tool. Technology Tattoo is giving individuals a
way to express themselves that is truly unique. “The first time I saw a
laptop etched, I knew I wanted mine done” said Paul Krumrich, President
of SED, “my next thought was, who wouldn’t want this done? Three days
later we purchased our first laser.” TT will focus on iPods and laptops
initially, and branch out to other products within the next few months
by adding standardized templates and pricing.
Technology Tattoo plans on servicing the local Minneapolis / St. Paul
market by providing direct service for end-users as well as by
partnering with local companies who’d like to offer this service but
don’t have the capabilities. TT is working with local companies who had
been using out-of-state vendors for etching, allowing them to offer
them a much faster turn-around time to their customers. The orders will
be picked up in the evening, etched overnight, and delivered back to
the store the next morning. “I was always taught that the best way to
sell something is to make it easy to buy” Krumrich said “this approach
removes the cost, time, and risk of shipping expensive equipment across
country, and at the same time makes the interaction between the
customer and our partner easier and quicker. “I could barely wait for
mine to be done, and I was standing there!” said Krumrich “There’s no
way I could wait 5 -10 days to see my tattoo.”
Technology Tattoo will be etching by appointment only
(www.technologytattoo.com, or 612-435-2113) until mid May, when the
interactive Web site is scheduled to be completed. The Web site will
serve as the main point of contact and will provide everything from
design templates for different devices to the ability to log in and
view your tattoo as it happens. The site will have design contests, a
gallery, and other fun interactive features for customers.
